  • Puppy yoga is a gentle, beginner-friendly yoga class combined with supervised interaction with puppies. The session is designed to support relaxation, joy, and wellbeing for humans while ensuring a positive, low-stress socialisation experience for the puppies.

    You do not need any previous yoga experience to take part.

  • Our sessions are suitable for:

    • Adults aged 16 and over

    • Adult-supervised children of 12 years old

    • Beginners and experienced yogis alike

  • Classes take place at in York City Centre. Venue details, access instructions, and arrival information will be sent via email after booking.

  • Sessions run on selected weekends throughout the year. Upcoming availability can will be released on Social Media and can be booked via our online Booking Portal.

  • To ensure a calm and enjoyable experience for all, class sizes are limited to 12 participants. This allows for enough space, comfort, and meaningful puppy interaction without overwhelming the puppies.

  • Each litter of puppies is different, so there will be varying numbers per session, but always a minimum of 4.

  • Yes. Puppy welfare is our highest priority.

    • Puppies participate for short, supervised periods

    • They have regular rest breaks away from participants

    • No forced interaction is allowed

    • Puppies can sleep, play, or rest as they choose

    • Sessions are stopped or adjusted if a puppy shows signs of fatigue or stress

    We work only with ethical partners who share our commitment to responsible animal care.

  • Yes, absolutely! - But always gently and respectfully.

    • Puppies choose how and when they interact

    • You will be guided on safe handling and boundaries

    • Holding puppies may be limited depending on age and comfort

  • Sadly not, no - please don’t bring your own dog or pet to join in a York Puppy Yoga session, but we’d love to see photos of you practicing yoga or working out with!

  • Yoga mats are provided for you, but if you would like to bring a small water bottle, you’re very welcome to.

  • Comfortable clothing, suitable for gentle movement, that you don’t mind getting a little ‘paw-printed’ by the puppies.

  • Can I take photos or videos?

    Yes, you’re very welcome to take photos and videos!

    Please note:

    • Flash photography is not allowed

    • Be mindful of other participants

    • Any professional photography or filming must be approved in advance

    Don’t forget to share your photos on Instagram and TikTok, tagging York Puppy Yoga.

  • Unfortunately due to the very limited numbers of participants, cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable.

    It is not possible to change the date or time of your session, but you are welcome to gift it to a friend, as longs as they agree to the Terms and Conditions.
